ROCKWELL JAWHORSE Rockwell Jawhorse RK9102 Saddle Bag Accessory Attachment

A great addition to a great tool; holds everything from a carpenter square to a cold (drink quickly) beer.

It is made of heavy canvas material and well stitched. To help maintain it's shape, metal flat-bar is stitched into each of the for sides and the perimeter of saddlebag, as well as each pocket is finished with edge binding. When not in use it can be easily folded and stored in a tool cabinet drawer.

When you consider the quality of the material and workmanship and the intended use of this product you have to conclude that it is a tremendous value for less than $25.00.

ROCKWELL JAWHORSE Rockwell RK9034 JawStand XP Work Support Stand
Admittedly I have only used this tool for a very short time but in my mind it has already paid for itself. I have used it both as an out feed for my table saw and to assist me in putting up an 8' x 3' shelf in my garage. I had already made a T support I use with my Jawhorse (another tool I am fond of). The T along with this tool was easily able to lift my 100 plus pound shelf. This tool allowed me to adjust height and mount the shelf with relative ease. I have done this kind of task before but never this easily. The clamp holds strong and the crank height adjustment was a terrific and a real time saving help. For me this Rockwell JawStand XP was money well spent and a great addition for someone who works by himself.

ROCKWELL JAWHORSE Rockwell RK9006 BenchJaw Hands-Free Bench Vise

ROCKWELL JAWHORSE Rockwell RK9006 BenchJaw Hands-Free Bench Vise

ROCKWELL JAWHORSE Rockwell RK9006 BenchJaw Hands-Free Bench Vise

ROCKWELL JAWHORSE Rockwell RK9006 BenchJaw Hands-Free Bench Vise

Rockwell has reinvented the vise with the revolutionary and innovative Benchjaws. There is no more hassle trying to stabilize and clamp a work piece, and operate the vise spindle at the same time. The RK9006 Benchjaws is a hands-free bench vise and clamping station that makes holding and clamping way more efficient. Now with the Benchjaws, use both hands to stabilize the work piece, and use your foot to clamp it in the jaws, giving the precision you need to clamp the workpiece where you want and how you want. Like the very popular JawHorse, the Benchjaws has many functions, but less space is required. The Benchjaws can be left in the set-up position on a stable work table or bench, and is always ready to go. Mount the Benchjaws to the top of a workbench or work table for a versatile clamping station designed to get your project into a more convenient working position faster and easier. The RK9006 offers a huge clamping range of up to 16-Inch compared to regular bench vises. The all-steel construction provides rigidity and strength by supporting up to 220-Pound. Like the JawHorse, the Benchjaws can generate over a ton of clamping force-that's 2200-Pound of pressure. When mounted to the corner of a work bench, the Benchjaws can be rotated as the 2-position mount allows for a 180-Degree repositioning making it convenient to work on bulky or odd-shaped projects on the front of the workbench or on the corner. The Benchjaws also have added accessories (sold separately) to help fine tune your clamping to hold and accommodate larger pieces. The (RW9207) is an extended jaw that stretches the Benchjaws capacity to 24-Inch allowing for the capability to clamp larger pieces. The (RK9208) aligning jaw with clamping posts, is a multipurpose self-aligning clamp to help hold tapered and round objects. They are great for holding and clamping various odd-shaped projects that otherwise would need added shims to clamp in a regular vise.

ROCKWELL JAWHORSE Rockwell RK9000 Jawhorse

  • The 1-ton clamping force provided by the jaws, which is foot-pedal operated, leaves hands free
  • A lock-release switch locks material in place and easily releases with the flick of a switch
  • Vice jaws extend to a full 37-inches to clamp even the largest materials, including a standard size 36-inch door
  • Tripod base gives exceptional all-terrain stability; front legs incorporate holes to allow floor fastening for more permanent jobs
  • Quickly folds down (no tools needed) to a portable 43 pounds; incorporates wheel for even easier portability
  • I have been using the Jawhorse for several projects. Since the Rockwell web site has no customer service email, I would like to make some detailed comments about this product that perhaps you can pass on to your co-workers, managers, friends, etc. This product has several pros and cons, and here they are, straight from an avid woodworker. The Pros: very versatile, very stable, excellent design, most of it is very solidly built, and it is portable, and very useful for a wide range of projects. And, it is worth the money as long as you can put up with a few shortcomings.

Here are the cons. There are 4 key parts in the design that are made of plastic. Three of these 4 parts are also "moving" parts, so the claims on the infomercial and other adds for this product that say "no moving plastic parts to replace" and "all steel construction", are simply not true.

First, lets start with the roller, which is used for rolling the product across a surface as one of the transport methods (while using the rear leg as a handle). This part is made of hollow plastic. Instead, it should be made of solid, hardened rubber (the same kind of material used to make industrial, swiveling coaster wheels) to increase durability.

The second part is the yellow latch in front. It is made of plastic, and it sticks out enough to where it could be easily hit and broken (especially by contractors, and when being transported while folded up).

The third one is the end cap which is fastened at the end of the rear leg, and makes contact with the ground during use. Instead of plastic, this should be made of hard rubber, just like the rubber pads at the end of the front legs.

Details

  • lightweight and portable
  • For all your DIY needs, ample workspace
  • Compact for storage in the garage
  • Multiple uses
  • Assembles in less than a minute
  • Had this work table for a little over a year although I've only used it 4-5 x for small projects. Design is great, easy set-up and take down, good work surface, etc. However, I was putting the table away and one of the legs must not have folded just right (they are out of sight during the folding process) and it snapped off. I was able to see that the leg is actually attached by only six small plastic tabs on the end of the leg cap. Actually quite poor construction, but more importantly, there is no support/parts options when something on this product breaks. Really a shame since I did like using this workbench, just don't think I'll be paying for another one considering how this one broke.

ROCKWELL JAWHORSE Rockwell Jawhorse RK9101 Log Jaw Accessory Attachment
  • Accessory to the Rockwell Jawhorse
  • Rockwell Jawhorse sold separately
  • Features rugged steel jaws
  • Hold logs and timber up to 12-inch diameter
  • Includes special vises that fold out to hold a chainsaw blade for sharpening
  • Nice attachment for your basic Jawhorse. As you can see in the video you can put a lot of pressure on the logs with these teeth. In fact if it came with a splitting wedge you could probably split logs with it... but it doesn't so you need to cut them yourself.

    ========================
    Pros:
Inexpensive attachment, makes the jawhorse useful out in the yard.

Really, really holds the logs tight, no having the log wiggle around underfoot. Easy one foot clamping operation.

ROCKWELL JAWHORSE Rockwell RK9003 JawHorse Material Support and Saw Horse

Rockwell RK9003 JawHorse Material Support and Saw Horse

The JawHorse came quickly and was packed well in the box -- no visible damage. I opened it up, read the directions but when I first tried it out, the JawHorse would not lock. No matter what I did, it would not lock. Shipping this "puppy" back would be a big hassle so I took the face plate off that holds the lock button and the button fell out -- it was not connected to anything. I saw two holes in the back of the button so I figured something had to be connected to it. When I looked inside with a flashlight, I saw the connecting prongs (thin spring loaded metal prongs) and saw they they were to be inserted in the holes from the inside out -- the spring pushing them out and holding them in place (if you have this problem you will see what I mean). I squeezed the prongs together, inserted them in the holes, reinstalled the button and faceplate and it worked like it was intended to work.

I gave a four star rating because of this problem -- the unit itself is fine and works well. However, if someone purchased this unit, had the same problem, and was a bit timid about taking the faceplate off (maybe void the warranty?) it would be an giant hassle to repack and ship it back. Also, since these "prongs" were spring loaded and pushing out (you had to pinch the spring together to insert it), there is absolutely no way they could have vibrated out during shipping. In my opinion, this was definitely a quality control problem -- the unit could not have been tested to see that it worked after being manufactured.

The bottom line is I am happy with the unit thus far -- it is very sturdy and works fine.
